Problem and Solution of Global Warming

The global warming is a true issue; the researche’s and scientists all of them agree that global warming is a real problem in our life and this problem is becoming much more dangerous by the. Fibbs, Brandon, a favorable review of An Inconvenient Truth. Says it is the best movie to understand global warming with very a modern way .The global warming is a real problem these days; many countries in the world try to play down this issue but in fact it’s much harder than we thought. The global warming is basically the earth becoming hotter but, more scientifically, it is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-twentieth century and its projected continuation. The main problem is the emissions from cars, buildings and factories. Also the growing population is one of the main reasons; people want to travel, buy clothes, work and so the amount of emissions becomes bigger day by day. Another huge problem is the changes in temperature that may destroy the earth in future because that will cause floods and diseases; also hot weather may kill a lot of plants. “It would take 100 years for the ice to melt, but recent studies say it could happen in 10-15 years”; Mellgren, Doug from “Riches Await As Earth's Icy North Melts" article says: I think this is not right; the information might be wrong because there is a big difference between 100 to 10 or 15 years. If 100 years all this generation will die and the 10 years is too short a period so I think this information is not accurate.Despite that, there are solutions of this case but in fact it is too hard to make them work. The economic growth is the biggest problem in these times and it is linked to the growing world population. So with the development of economic growth the level of emissions will increase and as I said it is harder than we thought to find a solution because the companies want profits and people have to use transportation to move so that is why the solutions are hard to find.

Cool City

We watched a video which is about Cool City project. A lot of environmental problems appeared such as climate change and many other problems; those problems came because of the economic development, traffic and population growth. If we want to solve this issue we need a new earth; we have to reduce 50% of carbon dioxide emissions to live in a single earth. In Japan over the past 30 years GDP has gone up 100% and energy efficiency has increased 37% while oil consumption has decreased 8%. Buildings and transport produce about 90% of carbon dioxide into the air. Cool City is a huge project which is about a green environment with high technology buildings and transport and the main benefit is a very small amount of carbon dioxide emissions. The SDCJ (Sustainable Urban Development Consortium for Japan) are a group of Japanese companies. The three main types of transportation are hybrid cars, trains and water taxis. Residential, Commercial and Business are the three zones in the city. The climate of the Gulf region is very hot so they will build a special wall around the city to reduce the heat. The overall percentage of reduction of CO2 is 60%.

In my point of view, the project of course is a great idea but the important question is when the project will finish? After 50 years?, There will be people to live in this city without any problems.

Summary

China’s women

China is the most populous country in the world so you can see everything in it such as the rich, poor, gangs, crimes, and many others. One of the most dangerous problems in China is suicide especially in rural areas; huge numbers of women take their lives each year even more than the men. One reason is poisons in the rural areas. Another cause is the fight between married couples. The result is the wife drinks the poison. The traditional rules play a big role in marriage, so women are actually like the goods which anyone can buy. This puts the women under stress and they become weak so that will definitely affect their children’s future. Also the wife should satisfy the husband otherwise it will be terrible. The government realizes the problem and they put laws for this case but it’s hard to change the strong traditional rules. The ratio of women is decreasing and the future will be really hard and dangerous for them if this problem is still unsolved. There is an organization trying to reduce this issue but it is limited; the good news is the organization is trying to spread to the whole of China in future. Now the women who live in China have been changed to the better by getting jobs.

Main Idea:-

Women in China were as garbage, no safety, no job, no freedom, and no mercy. We can also call them as goods. As we can understand from what the writer has written that women are an important part of society as they can work in very high position in the country but in rural areas in China the traditional rules destroy the women’s abilities so she becomes weak and she can’t face problems.

My comment:-

The article is quite good; the writer wants to present the issue to the audience. Hopefully the government will take this problem much more seriously. Written in the article “70-80% of suicides are the direct result of conflicts between husbands and wives”; if we think about it, it’s not fair because 70-80% is not that easy I mean it’s a very high rate and if that is right the whole of China will be chaos and corruption.

My Carbon Footbrint

I measured my carbon footprint from http://footprint.wwf.org.uk/ and it was 3.18, It depends of what I do or what are my activities.
The three factors which contribute most greenhouse gases are:-
1- Travel.
2- Home.
3- Stuff.

And the carbon footprint is the sum of all emissions of CO2 (carbon dioxide), which were induced by our activities in a time.

I compared my carbon footprint with four other students in the class. My footprint is the second one which is 3.18, my friends Khalifa, Rashid, Abdulwahed, and Ali is footprints are 3.15, 2.15, 4.5 and 4.56 respectively.

We can reduce that but I it’s really hard to do it because it’s difficult to change your life style but that is not impossible. You can do what you do regularly but heathier than before; that is one way to reduce your carbon footprint; another way, which is the harder, is to forbid myself to eat some food or don’t use the car and the computer as before.

Reviews

A favorable review:-
Brandon Fibbs says:

The global warming is a true issue; the researches and scientists all of them agree that global warming is a real problem in our life and this problem is becoming much more dangerous by the hour. In the movie they show us so much evidence as high modern graphical slides on a huge wide screen. Also they provide us with incredible pictures comparing some places before years ago and current years. The ending of the movie was great which is about how we can change this problem and solve it.

An unfavorable review:-
Scott says:

The movie is actually about Al Gore more than the aim of the movie, because this movie may create a huge base of fans for him to vote for him as the USA is next president. There are some funny scenes in the movie and that is not a good thing because this is a serious problem so we have to avoid any funny things. Some picture might be not true; they may take the photos in different seasons.

My opinion:-

The movie really provides for us great information that I is new to me; also the way Al Gore presents is very modern using new technologies and nice graphical slides. I don’t care if it is true or not put I believe the numbers and some information and some pictures. But overall it is great movie and a rich source; I recommend everyone to see it.
